MINNEAPOLIS — March 2, 2010 — Minneapolis based Malt-O-Meal Company, the nation’s largest family owned cereal company, has been invited by Southwest Airlines, the well known low-fare carrier, to help celebrate its first year of service to the Twin Cities.

Malt-O-Meal will hand out samples of its most popular ready-to-eat cereal brands to Southwest Airlines customers at the celebration, to be held Thursday, March 4, from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. at the Humphrey Terminal.

Southwest began flying into Minneapolis/St. Paul’s Humphrey Terminal on March 8, 2009, and currently offers 13 non-stop flights to Chicago (Midway), Denver and St. Louis with direct or connecting service to 59 cities.
